I’m plotting a fishing trip on Basin Bayou and want to know how the fishing there is? I haven’t been able to find any fishing reports on this particular bayou and would like information from anyone that’s fished it.
What is the quality of fishing at Basin Bayou on Choctawhatchee Bay near Portland, FL?

I’m not going to lie, I had to look to see where Portland, Fl is. I’ve never fished in that particular area and dont know anyone that has but this time of year the fishing is excellent. I fish throughout Florida including the panhandle and this time of year Seatrout, Redfish and Scallops and sharks are the main targets of most people. I’m not really sure what you are with but the best fishing is done ahead of schedule morning or late afternoon. Email me information and I’ll help you out
Hey, Basin Bayou is a secret. Across the road you will find Nick’s
Seafood. The owner is the third generation operating that place.
(killer fried shrimp platter) His name is Trea, he fished that bayou every day as child and landed many gorgeous bass. At least 10 or
15 hang in the place. If anyone on this earth can give you the lowdown it is him. So have the fried shrimp and talk to Trea.
Nice people, fantastic eat’s
