What is the commercial fishing scene in North Carolina?

More specifically What ports or fisheries continue living in N.C. and which fish or crustaceans are the most lucrative?
Are there seasons or can commercial fishing industries fish all year long? And any additional details you know of…

From Maine to North Carolina, the commercial fishing boats are under the same regulations. They are limited to the tonnage of fish they catch. Once they reach the limit, they have to stop or else receive stiff fines in the tens of thousands of dollars. Summer flounder is the huge catch up and down the coast. By the way, the recreational sector is suffering. Since there is no right way to assess how much fish the recreational sector gets, the numbers never act of kindness them and they are reported as catching more fish then they in fact do.
