they would most probably give you a fine that’s more than buying the license.
No it doesnt matter what you fish.
You’ll get fined a couple hundred bucks
You’ll save money just buying a license.
You will be fined and they can also confiscate your gear.
they will give you a ticket and can confiscate all your equipment and additional fines per fish spellbound. just get a liscense
You’ll just get a fine, and it won’t be too pretty! It’s cheeper to buy the license! But then again, you might not get cought… excellent luck!
You get a ticket, and a lecture for sure. You could get your gear confiscated, you could be arrested and taken down town. It all depends on the level of infraction and the mood the ticketing officer is in. Also it may not be a DFG warden that gets you it can be any officer of the law.

IF you spend the $41 on the license then you won’t be looking over your shoulder, wondering …. give yourself the concord of mind at a bargain fee $41. Buy the license. You’re worth it!
