I have been getting into fishing lately and have only managed to catch some small bluegill and a 2 pound catfish. Ive been fishing at a park and now i am going to start fishing at huge clearwater lakes. What should i buy?im on about a 30 dough budget.
What baits/hooks/ and fishing items should i get for my tacklebox?

Plugs they are usually nine dollars buy a small one and a large one. Tube worms (GITZETS) they are fantastic for bass. Spinner baits and spinners excellent for anything. Rubber frogs excellent for bass just cast them buy a lilly pad jerk them and wait then repeat. they are also excellent for additional frogs thought so watch out and if you see additional frogs buy the rubber frog reel in and cast somewhere else they are impossible to get of the hook. Get rubber grubs they are fantastic for crappies and bluefish. This should all cost you around 25-30$ and all this stuff works fantastic on and stream, river, or lake.
Been fishing on & off for a long time.
Don’t need much.
Now I just carry a very small soft bag w/ plastic trays for everything for original & brine.
Keep your vital pond fishing gear ; can always use worms & minnows
Would get a small assortment of Mepps spinners or just a couple of No2 Mepps in gold & silver ,some plastic worms, grubs & a popper or 2.
Under $30
Excellent for bass & additional lake fish.
Stuck to the basics
Can always get 1 or 2 of .whatever works for your area..
Best regards
weed less or worm less hooks that’s what i got told to place in my tackle box or even go to you community bait store and question that question and sure they will help you.
get some like size 4 or 6 bait holder hooks and rubber jigs…rubber jigs are fantastic for bass and additional warm fill up fishing and they are really cheap…for trout i would maybe get a few spinners and/or spoons and some powerbait and cheese hooks to hold the power bait
Keep it simple, I have boxes and boxes of tackle but I seem to always use the same few items that I have confidence in. Pick a couple of different items and learn how to fish them very well. Knowing how to fish plastic worms.grubs like a pro is better then knowing a small bit about a ton of lures.
Depends on the species of fish you want to catch – I would suggest just finding out whats in the lake then go to the closest tackle shop to this lake and question them what you need to get started. Tell them you have a 30 dough budget and let them do the shopping for you.
They will know exactly what works and what sizes ect. but if you choose you’ll be guessing and wasting your budget.
