What are the best places in Southern California for lake and stream fishing?

Please stick to the SOUTHERN California area. Preferable if the place is a scenic fishing spot. The cleaner, less crowded, and more gorgeous, the better.

    Stream Fishing
Some of the best remote stream fishing in California is in Deep Creek and Bear Creek. They both figure the illusive native Brown Trout. Maps are available at the Discovery Focal point. You will also need an Adventure Pass to park at the trailheads nearest the stream. The Brown Trout can only be fished with artificial lures (no bait) on barbless hooks. There is a limit of 2 a day on trout 8″ or larger. Anglers are encouraged to “catch and release” in these areas.

3 fantastic Bass & Striper Lakes, with gorgeous scenery are:

    1) Lake Casitas
    2) Lake Castaic
    3) Silverwood Lake

#1 & #3 being the lesser-crowded, but all are fantastic fisheries, & all have fantastic scenery!
