How much do fishing licenses cost in california?

Im going fishing tomorrow but i need to buy a license. How much are they? are there different types?

    Don’t bother asking the store personnel, they won’t know what you’re talking about.

    I went to Bass Pro Shops in Rancho Cucamonga, CA this past weekend and bought my license. Forty-one-twenty for the license itself and a additional twelve-eighty-five for the second-rod stamp. Total was fifty-four dollars, five-cents.
