How do I get internet 100 miles out in the ocean on a tuna fishing trip?

I have a 28′ sea sport commander, and I go out tuna fishing on a regular basis. I haven’t researched yet, but how would one get internet out 100 miles offshore?

a laptop join card from sprint or verizon, u just plug it into the usb port and u’ll have the internet

my best estimate would be some sort of satellite device like hughesnet since most of those laptop join cards get their signal from standard cell phone towers which don’t have a range of 100 miles or anything close to that.

I doubt a cell card will reach a tower that far out.
Satellite link is your only hope. People use it all the time. Costs????

Satellite. Sea Tel is one company in that business, a additional is KVH Marine. Generally, these systems are slower than land based broadband and quite a bit more money. http://www.kvh.com/ and http://www.cobham.com/about-cobham/avionics-and-surveillance/about-us/satcom/concord/about-sea-tel.aspx

You’re a hundred miles out at sea away from home, from the personnel, cell phones and the home computer enjoying some deep sea fishing being with friends on a nice offshore boat.

Why would you want to be bothered by the internet?
