Do you have to have a fishing license to fish the pier at Virgina Beach?

My family is going to the beach for vacation,and i want to do some fishing on the pier.Would I have to have a fishing license to do that,Help me out please.

    Yes if you are over 17 if not fish away if you are 17 or older you can get temporary licences that can last a day a couple of days or a week. Hope this helps and excellent luck fishing.

    I can’t speak for Virginia but here in N Carolina you do not need to buy one for a pier.The pier handles that responsibility when you buy your pass to fish on it.I would imagine it would be the same in Virginia

    Virginia Beach Piers buy a license for all. You do not require a license to fish there. You will pay an $8 a day to fish per person. They also have fishing poles for rent.
