Can fly fishing tippet be substituted with regular fishing line?

I would say it could be substituted with regular fishing line though I am not 100% sure. I have seen people with non-glide fishing rods in fact glide fish before though so it shouldn’t be that terrible. Though I would make sure it was a pretty low pound test so its not to heavy.

Yes as long as it isn’t something to stiff that can’t be straightened out to make better presentation and if it is too stiff it will stay coiled up and it will mess up your casting a small.
just tie it on and pull to straighten it out sometimes if it is coiled up it will take a small work to straighten it out a bit.
Sure you can. It won’t tell as well, so I use it mostly with huge bass lures. Keep to tippet for trout fishing 5x and under but for a temporary sub you can certainly get by with regular line.
You sure can.I use florcarbon line for a tippit.
