About.com Freshwater Fishing Do you use snaps, swivels and split rings? I have tried all three over the years. Some people use one or the other on all their lures, some always tied directly to the line. Here are some of my thoughts on using them.

we would have had no Thanksgiving. Milton Harbor in Rye, New York was the home of many indians years ago. They hunted, they fished, they clamed in Long Island Sound and neighboring Rhode island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. I am always cognizant of their memory and presence when we go rowing in this beautiful stretch of the US.

De afgelopen nacht en morgen ging de wind fel te keer . Na de middag zwakte de wind wat af en vond ik het tijd om nogmaals de spinhengel ter hand te nemen . Het bleef stil tot ik na een uurtje vissen een karper van zo’n tien pond in de rugvin haakte . Na een kwartiertje drillen kon ik deze landen . Rond 16u30 kreeg ik dan uiteindelijk een snoeiharde aanbeet van dit snoekje .

Het is nu al de vijfde opeenvolgende winderige dag . De temperatuur bereikt recordhoogtes .Gisteren heeft het overvloedig geregend en het water is lichtjes vertroebeld . De sessie gestart omstreeks 14uur 30 . Het blijft lang stil , ondanks dat het uitstekend snoekweer is . Rond 16uur 15 verraadt opspringend speldaas dat er een snoek op jacht is . Ik blijf deze stek worp na worp bestoken en uiteindelijk krijg ik een flinke dreun op mijn kunstaas . Bovenstaande snoek heeft de spinner vol , langs achteren , gegrepen . Na een korte dril kan ik hem landen en fotograferen .
