Red Fish

Ken Lamb at the Tackle Box

I taped a new Fishing Report with Ken Lamb this Morning, as I do every Monday morning.
Rockfish are getting bigger and they can be found in the shallows as well as the deep. the eaches off NAS Pax River have been good, especially in the area of HOg Point. Also out past Patuxent River #3 and near buoy #77. Up the river, good size rock have been found in the 40ft. deep trough north of St. Leonard Creek. Rock have also been good in channels in the Potomac. Smaller fish are in the shallows. these aren’t the trophy rock just yet, but they are getting close.
Spanish Mackeral are out in the bay a little further south. Try near the target sip or around buoy #72. bluefish are everywhere right now. You’ll also find some croaker.
Ken told me he cuaght some nice perch in a creek off the Patuxent and they should last a while.
