Even as they struggled to save themselves after a weekend fishing accident, the four young men from Brooklyn still thought of one another.

The men were fishing on Mountain Lake, in Smallwood, N.Y., when their boat capsized. A fourth man, also from Brooklyn, was able to swim ashore.
